Set at the Art Gallery of Hamilton’s Design Annex, today’s photoshoot is utterly inspiring. Acting as both the designer and florist for the shoot, Spunky Sapphire Events teamed up with photographer Shelly Spithoff and some additional talented Ontario vendors to create a modern tablescape with whimsical details. It’s lovely to see the use of bold colours throughout, including the multiple centerpieces, cake and blooms in the wall. I love how a collection of mis-matched vases filled with a couple different florals can make such a big impact statement.

Says Anna (Spunky Sapphire Events): “A glam winter fete, with a promise of spring. Inspired by the juxtaposition of the Art Gallery of Hamilton’s Design Annex, this shoot sought to bring together organic design with refined elegance. You could say Hamilton is the Brooklyn of Ontario with its one-of-a-kind spaces and artisan community. I wanted something that was tangible and within reach for brides, but still a unique take and something eye-catching. The simplicity came into play with the various jars and variety of flowers as well as the table runner created from placemats! How they were matched together was the impactful part. That flower wall was a dream to install and absolutely a group favorite! It’s amazing how a mix of small blooms can work together to make such a statement! Taking a simple space with loads of texture and infusing it with color, romance, and whimsy was such a treat and proves that simple items grouped together can be quite stunning!
