A simple way to modernize any wedding is to use vibrant colors. In today’s photoshoot you’ll notice that the bird cage is painted in a beautiful aqua color and paired with a bright chartreuse (otherwise called green), yet grounded by tones of brown. It’s a modern spin to a very organic, naturalistic feeling photoshoot. The photos captured are by Edmonton vendors Picture That Photography + Just For You Photography along with design by A Modern Proposal Event Planning.

Says Julianne of A Modern Proposal: Becky from Just For You Photography had asked if I would assist Susan and herself with creating a photoshoot earlier this spring. They presented the idea of a bird themed shoot with a colour pallet of aqua, ivory, brown, and various shades of green.

To create this stunning bouquet, Jennifer of Akiko Floral Artistry used a bird nest and filled it with various textured florals in shades of green. I absolutely love this.

Says Julianne: Orchids, peonies, mums, and succulents were use to create a long centerpiece that spanned from inside the elegant aqua bird cage to each end of the table. To carry out the bird theme consistently a bouquet that resembled and included a birds nest was created along with a stunning matching boutonniere.
