Did you love yesterday’s chic wedding? Well, here’s your chance to have a closer look at all the oh-so-pretty details by getwed Event Planning. Photos are by Edmonton photographer JDS Photography. I’ve been dying to see a wedding in pewter, so I hope this palette combination with ivory may inspire you for your own weddings.

Leyanna wanted to incorporate traditional elegance but add a modern element that updated the look. Her fathers favorite movie, as is mine, is Father of the Bride. As soon as she said this was his favorite movie, I KNEW we would work well together!

Like in the movie, it was very intimate, lush with florals and lights all around. For a take on this, we focused on flowers and sparkle. Leyanna had a pretty clear vision on what she wanted. She wanted classic colors that didn’t follow a trend or fad so we avoided bold colors that would make the overall style look dated. The overall style of the wedding combined traditional elegance with modern elements.

The stationary created by Terlie was elegant and simple which Leyanna appreciated to give it a timeless look.

The Fairmont Hotel MacDonalds historical chandeliers were dripping in crystals and ivory ribbon. To complement the sparkle of the light, colored jewels were draped around it as well. During the dance the lights from the stage of the band would hit the crystals on the chandelier to make it sparkle!

We opted out of the traditional chivari chairs and chose elegant ivory chairs instead with rhinestone details on the back. The chairs were fit perfectly, adding a modern touch in a traditional venue. Leyanna loved the pin-tucked pewter linens which also gave it a more modern flair but was subtle. The centerpieces gave that lush-ness that she was looking for with hydrangeas and roses which made for a classic pair. The florals were in ivory to makethings like the hanging crystals stand out against the glow of the candles.

When I see photos of indoor weddings, i like them a lot… But I don’t know why when it comes to choosing indoors for my wedding I start doubting it, could it be that indoors start looking like mess when people take their seats? Could anyone give me some tips about choosing the right indoor place for my wedding.
