Andreas Avdoulos, Canadian Photographer
My fiance and I inquired about Andreas and he was very prompt to respond. As we continued to collect information on other photographers, he bombarded my fiance with emails, phone calls, as well as facebook messages regarding our inquiry all within a 2 day span.
She was left feeling slightly flustered as he informed us that there were other couples interested in the wedding date only after we told him we were not in a rush to sign a contract and needed some time to talk about our options. He left us with a final message that, “who ever gets their emails and their contact information in to me first will retain the wedding date and a contract can be drafted”. This seemed very pushy as the only information we had was that his price would be 4600$. My fiance then wrote a email including some general questions as we were not comfortable making a large decision in such a short time frame. He responded to our email in a far less then professional manor and provided us with very short non fulfilling answers.
At this point we felt that their was no connection with him as a person, and realistically how are you to smile at your photographer on your wedding day when he has been nothing but rude and insistent. Just to add insult to injury he proceeded to post his interpretations of our questions on his facebook as an example on how to reject a potential client preemptively.
Overall his lack of professionalism, seemingly crooked tactics to have a contract signed, and lack of respect was very disappointing.
I would simply warn other people looking into his “professional services” to do their research and make sure you are comfortable with who you are dealing with. I was reminded by my fiance that scowling at our photographer on our wedding day would not make for very nice pictures, regardless of how talented the photographer might claim to be.
