Oh gee..I was out last night so I didn’t get a chance to post about the big news…well, the news we all knew was coming.

Ashlee Simpson, 23 and Pete Wentz, 28 were married on Saturday at Simpson’s parents’ LA home. Says their spokesperson to PEOPLE:
“We’re delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married this evening in front of family and close friends,” said the spokesperson.
The dress: Monique Lhullier ivory lace wedding gown. Necklace & earrings by Neil Lane.
Guests: 150. Joe Simpson performed the ceremony while Jessica Simpson was the maid of honor. Other guests included Dallas Cowboys Tony Romo, Nicole Richie, Joel Madden, and longtime Simpson friend CaCee Cobb.
Wedding Theme: Alice in Wonderland
The Cake: Complete with a top hat, tea pot, stop watch, and pot of flowers on top - by Sam Godfrey of Perfect Endings
Centerpieces: Black beauty roses by Mark’s Garden
The food/drinks: Rose Veuve Clicquot champagne & sit-down dinner
Simpson told PEOPLE on Friday that she was never the type to dream about her wedding when she was growing up, but changed her tune once she got engaged. “Now that I’m doing it, I definitely have that big dream. It kind of went more fairytale than I thought. I got really into it.” Added Wentz, “She has this amazing imagination and to watch it take place is an awesome thing.”
However, no alcohol for Ashlee because she announced she was pregnant at the reception!
Congrats to the happy couple!

I saw this and thought I had to share it with you. Here’s a cute wedding centered on the theme of ribbons. The bouquet, wedding favors, flower girls basket..you name it, in very fresh colors - mustard yellow, orange, pink, and white. A lot of these items can be done on a budget with some help from your friends.

How many of you still have lots of paint chips left over from deciding on what color to paint your homes?
Here are two unique ways to use these left over pieces for your wedding, while being eco-chic in the process.
Designers for the tables at Diffa’s Dining by Design event this week in New York innovatively used paint chips for decoration. Here, Vicente Wolf used paint chips as napkin rings and scattered other colorful chips across the table surface.
Always eco-friendly Daily Danny cut the paint chips into circles and tied them onto wine glasses with guest names.
…
Other uses: name cards & floral arrangements - ONLY for the crafty, or else it might look juvenile..

Have your confetti kits ready at the church porch and allow guests to help themselves. I believe this is the best part of the wedding for most guests. When do you get to throw things at the bride/groom? You can purchase the cones & box here.
Or, simply make your own. Just fill inexpensive mini vials with delicate rose petals, confetti, or rice. The vials are better than cones because there’s less of a chance of guests spilling them over.

Fill your vases with polymer pearls that are actually created by simply adding water.
These polymer crystals are a dirt-free way to store water and keep cut flowers fresh for a relatively long time. It also allows you to incorporate your color scheme into your centerpieces. The pearls can be rehydrated over again in the future.
They are available in a various colors at about $6/pack.

As a young one and even till this day, I’ve had an affinity for Hello Kitty items. Unfortunately, there really wasn’t any point in keeping my collectables, so I gave away most of them to family friends with little girls. However, I haven’t given it all away…in fact, I’m wearing my Hello Kitty earrings right now, and I still have my HK diamond necklace in my jewelry box.
So…it would be kind of nice if I could incorporate some Hello Kitty in my wedding…but not to this extreme! See the video below and tell me they aren’t crazy! I swear they’ve made “Hello Kitty” everything!

Although I knew Lisa Ling married quite recently, I have never seen her wedding pictures. She really followed an Asian theme to its fullest. Click to see larger image.
Here’s another way to incorporate ‘asian’ into your wedding without going as extreme.
