I’m pretty sure most of you will swoon over this next wedding sent over to us by Lindsay Skeans Photography. If you have a heart, you love things pretty and you’re looking for inspiration, you’ll find it hard to resist. In fact, you might just stare at each image just to soak in all the details. The bride, Julien is the brains behind Thimble Design, teaming up with Fairy Godmother Weddings for this outdoor wedding at UBC Farm. Some details that you can’t help but notice and love are the gold ampersands, baby’s breath bouquets and ribbon backdrop for the ceremony.

Their favorite wedding moment:
Our favourite moment on our wedding day was having all of the most important people in your life all together in one place, at one time. That moment will never happen again! I also loved taking a walk with my husband during the reception to getaway for a minute and really take it all in together.

How they met:
My husband and I met at a mutual friends cabin during a long weekend getaway on the Sunshine coast. We fell in love on the long ferry ride home and the rest is history.

Inspiration behind the wedding decor:
I’ve always been attracted to a beautiful palette of nudes and peach tones. There is just something so soft and feminine, without being too “girly” about it. I also adore ombre effects and was inspired by experimenting with watercolour paints one day. This is what inspired the slightly different shades of peach, pink and ivory hues and soft textures throughout our wedding decor. I wanted to evoke the same watercolour effect through the fluidity of chiffon fabrics (bridesmaid dresses), silk ribbons collected from France (altar), and variety of garden roses in our flower arrangements. The addition of gold throughout all of our elements gave our big day the perfect amount of the vintage aesthetic I was hoping for.

Advice for future brides and grooms-to-be:
Like many people say, it goes fast! So enjoy every minute of it. Not just on the big day itself, but with all of the events, planning and fun leading up to it. If one little thing isn’t exactly how you planned it, don’t worry! Because you are more than likely the only one that knows that.
