So much for putting things off, the ball is rolling. Wedding planning is on and it’s full steam ahead!
So let’s see, the save the dates are finally sent out, the wedding dress is picked up and stashed away at my parents’ house. (By the way, can I just say that’s torture. They live about 45 minutes away, so I’m sure I’ll be visiting more often so I can say hi to my dress.)
I had a much harder time figuring out what the bridesmaids would wear than I did picking my own dress.
For starters, there’s going to be lots of different colours at our wedding so I couldn’t immediately pick just one shade for all the girls to wear. Initially, I wasn’t sold on them all wearing the same style either. What if the different shades of pink, orange and yellow weren’t distributed evenly, or someone stuck out like a sore thumb? At one point, I was even considering having the girls wear white, so I could avoid picking a colour all together.
Here are a few pics I had pinned for inspiration:
Turns out though, that’s not the direction I went. Wah wah wahhh.
I’m suddenly obsessed with tulle skirts and after consulting the girls, they’re on board too. My five lovely ladies will be wearing light pink tulle skirts and white tanks. The nice thing about this option is that they can still customize the skirt to the length and style they prefer. Depending if they would like to go Carrie a la Sex & The City style and have multiple tiers or the more traditional one length.

I like them so much I’m considering having something similar made (or DIYing) for our rehearsal dinner.
What do you think? Too out of the ordinary or just the right pick for our wedding style?
