Today’s couple found their photographer through our site and is a big lover of Wedding Obsession. Honestly, we have the best readers in the world and I LOVE when I get to share their weddings with you. Thanks to Shandro Photo for capturing the day and sending over these sweet, sweet images.

Says Haley of Shandro Photo: These two have such a sweet story. They met while working at Starbucks, and then realized that they lived on the same crescent. They dated throughout University, and Justin proposed on a trip they took together to Peru. He popped the question atop Machu Picchu. Jacquie’s family has a long history of being married at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Edmonton, so there was no other choice for the wedding ceremony. We headed to Fort Edmonton Park for photos, and a special stop included the Rutherford Family home, which was important to Jacquie as she used to work at Rutherford House on the U of A campus. For the reception they wanted an elegant and intimate venue, so the Union Bank Inn was a perfect fit. Everything for their wedding was exactly as they wanted, including an ice cream wedding cake!

First, you look absolutely beautiful! I recently purchased this same dress but instead of two openings in the back I would like to have one larger one. The dress hasn’t come in yet, so I haven’t done alternations to ask about this, but It looks like that is how your dress is. I was wondering if you has one of the clasp removed and just has one opening as it appears. If so was it hard/expensive to do?

    Hi Anna

I don’t think any alterations were made to the dress. I simply has one clasp at the top and one opening. I would suggest bringing a photo of this dress to your seamstress and getting her opinion because each dress is a bit different and it can change what you can do or not do. Hope that helps!
