Happy Thursday! I think it’s time for an engagement session, or LOVE session as I like to call it and thrilled today that it’s by Jamie Delaine, featuring her best friend Leanne. There’s a ridiculously sweet story to accompany the images. And while I’m not always the best at paraphrasing, I thought I’d share some of the adoring tidbits of this unexpected proposal. Of course, you’ll want to drop by Jamie’s blog to read the full story – trust me, you want to.
Sam called up Leanne and told her to visit him at the grandstands (a significant location in their relationship) and was handed the end of a strand of twine, instructed to follow the trail. Along the path of twine were four custom-designed signs made by Sam. After the final sign, there he was..waiting with “two chairs, a blanket & a board game called “leanne & sam” — about their two-year relationship & nine-year friendship.”
“The board game included memories from their friendship/relationship… such as “leanne cut her hair and you thought it was cute. move ahead two” and “leanne shunned you a whole trip to alberta [where they traveled together in the same worship band] move back four” and my personal favourites “sam got involved with other girls. he was really really really dumb. go back to start.”
At the end of the board game session, Sam asked Leanne to marry him. And indeed she said yes, as both made their dreams come true that day.
