So…did you watch the Oscars? I can guarantee that you’ll hear this question several times over the course of your Monday morning, so here’s your little fashion cheat-sheet about what went on last night in terms of fashion.
Every year I only watch the red carpet. And sometimes I’ll stick around for the opening monologue. Don’t we all? Well, as with any Oscar year, there were some hits and misses, but I wanted to share with you some of the trends and my picks for the favorite “look”. I have to admit, I felt that although there were a couple stand-outs (*ahem* milla jovovich), the fashion seemed a bit lackluster. Angelina wore black, yet again, Kristen Wig wore nude, yet again, and Tina Fey wore navy…yet again!
Do you agree? What were your favorite gowns of the night?
And of course, white was ever-so present this year which ultimately means, wedding inspiration heaven. Eat it up!
Immediately after seeing Emma Stone in her fushia gown with the large bow (bottom collection, 2nd image), I couldn’t help but think it was eerily similar to the red Balenciaga gown worn by Nicole Kidman in 2007. But oh well, she looked pretty!
And we must not forget about the snazzy men. The biggest trend, albeit not unexpected considering it’s the ‘black tie formal oscars’, black bowties were a hit!
