Today’s couple, Justine + Mike, absolutely ooze style. So much so that I’ve asked Justine to blog a little bit in coming spring months. Their story? On a one-way ticket, Justine made her way to Christchurch, New Zealand to visit her best friend and while working at the family run craft beer pub, she met the ever-so charming Mike. Needless to say her stay was extended. But after the unbelievable and unforgettable earthquare in February of last year, she flew back home to Canada with Mike following soon after. Now they’re tying the knot and planning their upcoming DIY wedding.

The significance of the gold horses? Mike’s last name means “place of horses” and my last name translates to “horse.” This was pretty much a sealed deal when I learnt his last name!

Their wedding will be a mix of blush pinks, peaches and light greys. Oh how I adore that palette. As well, there will be many DIY items including hanging paper flower centerpieces. Justine tells me her mom is a cake designer, so there will be many delectable cakes present to match the theme. And of course, gold horses will be present as placeholders for their guests’ names.
