I’m not quite ready to reveal the theme we’ve picked but I thought it would be fun to share some of the ideas that I considered along the way.

First stop: VEGAS, BABY!

 

Since Las Vegas is a favorite vacation spot for David’s family and myself, I’ve jokingly suggested it on more than one occasion. We could also avoid some of the inevitable planning stress by eloping to Sin City for a combined wedding and honeymoon. *Only kidding Mom!*

 

While a destination wedding would absolutely be fun and exciting, in our case, it would be a lot to ask all the special people that we can’t imagine our wedding day with out to travel so far. Not to mention, eloping is certainly out of the question, our mothers would kill us as soon as we landed back in Canada. Honeymoon OVER!

 

All joking aside, let’s suppose for a while that we could hop a plane to say “I do”, here are some awesome shots from an awesome local Vegas wedding photographer, Mindy Bean.

In such a unique city, the possibilities are endless. You can go as glam or as kitsch as you like with so many venues and photo spots to choose from.

I was the Maid of Honour for my friend at her Valley Of Fire wedding a few years ago. While the desert makes for a breath-taking ceremony and photo backdrop, we were there in mid-July and it was sweltering, so you might want to consider this location for the cooler months.
