Good morning everyone and happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend. I can’t contain myself, so I’m going to add a quick personal update – the house is so close to completion and I should be moving in by mid-November. I’m soooo excited. Now I have to sell my downtown condo and we all know how hard real estate is.

Now wedding related wise, these past couple weeks have been absolute mayhem (in a good way) for the bridal industry because it’s New York Bridal Fashion Week, where designers flock to the runways to share their newest collections. I vow that next year I’ll try my best to get to New York because I should bring the excitement to you. I missed out on too much and a trip to NYC wouldn’t hurt either.

So over the course of the next week or two, I’ll throw in a couple lookbooks of my favorite runway collections and at the end, I’ll share my annual top trends for the 2012 Fall Bridal Market. And can you guess who I’ll start with? Of course, the talented Vera Wang who always pushes the envelope when it comes to bridal fashion. This year, Vera’s style was filled with a lot of black and almost gothic styles. A tweet from her official Twitter account said “Vera’s inspiration: Witchcraft! Light, airy, concoctions of froth. … Mysterious and sexy, frivolous and fun”.

Would you wear black?

I can’t imagine wearing black to my wedding! I dont even like the idea of guests wearing black to a wedding! The dresses are definitely gorgeous (unsurprising, from the insanely talented Vera Wang), but maybe not wedding appropriate!

@chelsey – gorgeous indeed. I would LOVEEEEEEEEEE to wear the first gown to a formal function (albeit..who knows when I’ll ever get that opportunity). Imagine if it came in white? gah!

@sarah – I would too, but my parents would freak out …and I guess the rest of the guests as well haha.

I LOVE the one 5th one with the crimped ribbons on the skirt. It’s beautiful

That’s my 2nd fave – love it as well! After going through the rest of the bridal collections, I love how Vera pushed the envelope.

Stunning dresses, her style is really beautiful.

Wow really? The color is what deters you? Yeesh. Wear black, or hell, all rainbow dress to your wedding. Key word there is YOUR wedding. If you’re paying for it all or even 51% of it, it does not matter what the other people say or think. This is YOUR day and spit on all the nay sayers.

With that out of the way, I adore these dresses. Vera never seems to disappoint. :3

LOVE LOVE LOVE all of these! Yes, they are black… but as the fabulous Mark Ingram quoted in the NY Times… “It was shocking and outrageous, but it was also fabulous,”“It was bold, but it also made me pay attention to the details all that more carefully.” Couldn’t have stated it better. The details are to die for! thanks for sharing! <3
