Welcome back ladies + gents. I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving weekend with friends and family. I am ever so excited to jump back into the inspiration, and I am aching to share this next wedding with you. Marc and Amy, high school sweethearts, married in an utterly elegant and charming outdoor tent wedding. The eye-candy decor and bright florals by Rachel A. Clingen are again stunning and the event was captured by Rowell Photography & Empirical Photographic Arts. One of the favorite pieces of the wedding are the tall branched centerpieces covered in colourful florals and the lush mocha coloured draping within the tent. Enjoy!
What was your inspiration behind your overall wedding decor and colour choices?
The inspiration for the colours and overall decor of our wedding came from the desire to keep the feel fun and summery while keeping the overall theme elegant and rustic. The base drapery colour of mocha created a traditional feel while the main colour punch of coral and accents of raspberry, orange, yellows, and lime green complimented the hot summer day of the outdoor wedding.
What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?
Every part of the day was special but the most significant and cherished memory I will have is the anticipation of walking through the doors of the church and seeing right past the hundreds of guest to my husband Marc standing alone waiting with a smile at the alter which felt like a mile away!
Do you have any advice for other brides-to-be?
My advice to soon to be brides is to not sweat the small stuff! And to also take pleasure in the planning and the work that goes into the wedding, because once those 24 hrs of the wedding day are over, none of the details will matter, only you and your husband. Also, don’t be afraid to be creative and try something not everyone agrees with. After all, it’s your day!
