DIY brides you are going to drop your jaws in awe for this wedding. I literally spent hours going through..trying to figure which details to share because there were just SO many. Captured by KP Photography by Kathy Paton and designed by the bride Gillian, this spring wedding in Comox, BC is just too sweet. Congrats Gillian & Brendan!

Says Kathy: A mid-May wedding in Comox, BC, beautifully inspired by DIY and vintage decor. From the soft color tones of the bridesmaids dresses, table settings, and even party favors, to the carefully hand cut paper flower bouquets and boutineers for the bridal party. They were surrounded by their family and closest friends for a charming outdoor garden ceremony which was followed by a vintage inspired reception, right down to the floral design. It was just as Gillian had always imagined.

I wish I had seen that blow up doll before my wedding!!!!! I had a bridesmaid who had to cancel last minute and I would have loved to have her there – that would have been an awesome option!!!

You need to list “Gillian Ottaway” under the “EVENT DESIGNER” category. Krylea put together a bunch of things under Gillian’s direction. :) The beauty you see above was her vision!

So excited that you featured this wedding, but Sher is correct, this wedding was Gillian’s vision right from the start! Krylea did a great job of setting things up and helping plan the reception space, but the individual elements were all painstakingly selected and most handmade by Gillian and her friends. She has anincredible eye for design!
