Today, I get to share a photoshoot that’s near and dear to my heart, considering the fact that it incorporates three things that I love. Ballet, sex in the city & all things pretty. Yep. That awesome. Designed & styled by Blossom Events and captured by Edison Photography, you’ll agree that there are so many little details that you can use as inspiration for your own wedding.

From Blossom Events: It started with watching old episodes of Sex and the City and the scene from the last episode of Sex and the City, when Carrie was sitting on her bed in her Versace gown. The dress reminded us of romance and a giant tutu skirt. This very quickly evolved into a ballerina/swan lake inspired photo shoot. When we think of ballet, we relate that to lots of tulle, ruffles, feathers, gracefulness, lightness and of course romance. We were also inspired by the beautiful architecture in Russian ballet halls.

Our vision was to create a wedding that is romantic, girly, and modern with a tinge of vintage. We wanted to keep everything girly, so we decided on the colours – light pink, ivory and white.

For the bridal gown, we wanted something like a tutu skirt, but with a twist, and something big. It is a Mori Lee gown from the Blu Collection. We loved the texture of the gown, and because it was made of organza, it was light and fluffy.

The tulle pom pom picks were made to create a little softness and fun to the drinks.

We love DIY projects, and wanted to do simple details that we thought will also provide the light romantic feel. We used satin ribbons to create the backdrop because it reminded us of satin ribbons from ballerina shoes.

I don’t really like dresses like that, but the pictures are so graceful. And the cake – oh! I couldn’t eat something so beautiful:)

This is a great read. Reminds me of JJ Hair Club and my favorite girl, Gloria who works like magic. When I visited the place, I knew right there and then that I am going to meet not just a hair expert but a friend. If you are interested to look great and to have the excellent service of Gloria, have these contact details in mind:
