Extravagant florals, golds, pinks, trumpets, butterflies, fireworks…and waffles. Excited? This next wedding from Picture That Photography is just full of pretty things and lovely inspiration. Planned by Katherine Lomax of Elegant Touches, the decor is just stunning. I know you’ll agree with me that no detail was left unplanned. Happy Tuesday :)

Says Susan of Picture That: The ceremony was at the Robertson-Wesley United Church, and the reception venue (The Oasis) was decorated more beautifully than we had ever seen before. The bride and groom included so many personal touches in their wedding day. One was a garden cocktail hour, where guests sipped champagne with raspberries in them, and following a butterfly release were escorted into the reception venue at the Oasis in Edmonton. A second was the trumpet being played when the bride walked down the aisle. The reception site was full of gorgeous flowers, and had many intricate details such as name cards and beautiful centrepieces.

Says Susan: The parents of the bride surprised the couple with a small firework show outdoors once night fell, and guests entered the Oasis once again for the couple’s first dance. The late lunch was surprising as it was not “lunch” foods at all, but breakfast! Guests enjoyed waffles and sausages instead of the usual finger foods. Most importantly the couple, Jennifer and Darren were so in love with each other, and the emotions that were visible took their wedding day over the top. It was truly stunning.

As one of the photographers covering this beautiful wedding, I could tell you exactly what cameras were used…but that wouldn’t really help you. Instead, I will say that we (the photographers) have a very good understanding of how to use our cameras and lighting to control the exposure of the photos. Then, the very talented artists at Picture That work their magic with software. The combination of great photography and great processing is what gets you these stunning results.
