Personal Update: Banff & Hair & Makeup!

I am soooo sorry for this late post. I rarely get away from a computer, but this weekend, I did just that. My AMAZING bridesmaid Ashley surprised me with a trip to banff filled with food, shopping and manicures. After posting the recent engagement session and weddings in banff, it was finally a thrill to see the mountains in person. Jason had his stag that same weekend, so it was nice to not have to sit at home and wonder what he was doing.

Here’s a couple pictures from my cell phone of some of the beautiful things that we saw. Mt Norquay was just amazing.

And a couple from my Fuji instax which I love love love. They’ve got that old polaroid quality to them. The third image is a gift that ashley got Jason and myself and it has to be THE most thoughtful gift ever. I still can’t believe it.

That saturday I also had my hair & makeup trial. I cannot say enough about Elaine and Janet of Hua Photography. They’re actually part of a team of 4 with their two sisters and they provide a one-stop shop – makeup/hair/photography. I was able to book them for just hair & makeup and I am so thrilled with the outcome of the trial. Based on some simple things on what I was looking for (messy, side chignon and swept bangs), here’s the final product.

It was important to find someone who could deal with asian hair and makeup. I think anyone who is asian would understand how important that is!
