Unique Artichoke GREENS
Artichokes? When I think about them, I immediately think they probably taste horrible because they resemble brussel sprouts. But little did I know that these large green (and sometimes purple) colored vegetables could be used as a unique accent for a wedding? I’m always on the look-out for new and unique items to incorporate into a wedding and I think artichokes just might be it. To me, they resemble succulents which have been my latest obsession. Check out some of the options below on what they look like in bouquets, centerpieces and even as place card holders. I absolutely how dynamic they look next to florals and the dimension of their many layers.

I love getting creative with different textures in decor, and fruit and vegetables is a great way to add some different textures into the design. I also LOVE the use of little succulent plants – very similar looking to artichokes, but a little more variety in size and shape.

admin on March 02, 2010How awesome! I love that artichokes are being used this way. It’s so refreshing to see a vegetable or fruit as part of an arrangement. Thanks for sharing these pics.
Erica@African-AmericanBrides.com on March 02, 2010Yay! I love artichokes too, so much that I made a candle holder out of them: http://www.dognbird.com/eco/eco-friendly-vegetable-candle-holders-centerpiece
Great texture and color.
