Elizabeth over at ENV Photography is having a contest for all your Edmonton brides-to-be! All you have to do is go over to her blog and post a story in the comment section about how you and your hunny met to possibly win 1 of 3 engagement sessions. On August 1st, Elizabeth will be posting all stories and a vote will decide the top three. Good luck! Goodness I am tempted to enter but how I met my fiance isn’t quite riveting…it’s quite nerdy actually.

Well, i met my hunney in jr.high. I was in grade 7, he was in grade 9. being as young and odd looking i was, i had this huge crush on him. i would follow him to his hockey practices at the gym or watch him play. i would wait outside the school just to watch him come back from lunch with his friends. then one day after monthes of “stalking” him, i screamed out through the hallway..(he was at one end at his locker and i was the other)”I LOVE YOU DAVID” and i ran up the stairs. then the next few days were strange cause i never saw him even though i knew he was at school because all my other girlfriends said they seen him earlier or whatever. He was avoiding me. He would see me coming and go the other way. I wouldn’t blame him because if you seen how i looked in grade 7 you would have avoided me as well. i looked and dressed like a grungy boy, but i had long hair. Well my younger sister was good friends with his younger sister, so near the end of a school year, we found out his family was having a moving sale, i went just to see if he was gonna be there. He was but he avoided me, he hid in his room or was in the basement. Then they moved to BC. I was disappointed and went on with my life for the next year. on the second summer i got a job working in a tent selling my traditional food at a event in my city. i worked the till taking in tickets for food, when i looked up and saw him! But oh my gosh, my jaw dropped!!He was fit, taller and looking super fine!!! and he was just standing there staring at me with his friend that used to go to the same school as well.It was odd, we were just staring at each other and then he lowered his sunglasses and smiled at me. i got so stunned, i went into the back to catch my breathe. he hung around and came around my tent everyday, me and my friends hung with his friends playing hacky sack on our breaks, we hardly spoke to each other.it wasnt until a few weeks later we went on our first date, we hardly saw the movie and for the whole summer, he was at my house to take me go play basketball or watch movies at the theatre. he would walk for hours to get to my house just to see me. we were truly and madly in love with each other. To this day, he says what made him fall in love with me is me running in front of him. and i found out not to long ago that he had a bet with his friends of who would be the first one to get digits and he won, and boy did he ever!!!Its been almost ten years now, and its been a ride for sure and we are still in love with each other!! we had our first child over a year ago and its the best love in the world!!
