Don’t you agree? There’s almost as much hype and hoopla over what Michelle Obama wore as the fact that Barack Obama is finally the President. I’m not a US citizen..but all of this commotion is nothing but entertainment for me! But yay for Obama.
The First Lady wore a stunning white, asymmetric strap gown by Jason Wu. When I heard that…I thought ‘Jason who?’
The designer was born in Taipei and at only 26 years old, he has lived in Tokyo, Paris and Canada, along with iterning for Narciso Rodriguez. Well, Wu says he found out just like the rest of us, via TV because he had no idea Obama was going to wear his gown.
“I found out when the whole world found out,” he told Us Magazine. “I said, ‘It looks white. It looks like mine…’ I had a box of pizza and I nearly fell over. I was sitting there with my friends, and they were screaming.”
Anyways, I think she looks amazing and I’m happy to see designers who aren’t mainstream get their big break.
