I am so excited to share with you the beautiful wedding of Erin & Rob which took place this past July in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. Erin’s vision of sage green, champagne and ivory is truly a nice breath of fresh air! Keep an eye out for many of her DIY items, which shows that if you have a vision, time and creativity, you can have your dream wedding. Pictures are courtesy Boston Avenue Photography and Erin herself.

I love this picture.

DIY wedding programs

The ladies pose with some lime green paper parasols from www.pearlriver.com. They made for some really fun pictures.

The bride created this seating chart herself using a a variety of ribbons and a foam core board.

Erin created a cute, yet inexpensive guestbook to match the seating chart. She simply bought the notebook at Chapters and wrapped it in ribbons of all shades green. Also involved in the wedding planning, Erin’s mother created lovely flower cones in the wedding’s colors, which hung on the chairs along the ceremony aisle. The cones were later hung on the reception banisters.

Another nice DIY touch was the helpful tray that was placed in the woman’s bathroom at the reception. The tray was stocked full of emergency items such as hair spray, hand lotion, a mini sewing kit and much much more. A poem was also displayed on the picture frame which read:

“So happy you are here to share our special day,
but should something happen to go astray,
please help yourself to the contents inside,
the helpful items we’re pleased to provide.
Use just what you need and leave the rest,
it may be useful to another guest.
So repair the damage that may have been done,
then hurry on back and join the fun.
Compliments of the newlyweds.”

The beautiful 5 layer cake covered in ivory fondant icing and green swirls & ribbon was made by Irresistible Cakes. I love how she placed a large “I DO” block letters at the cake table for a neat little touch. Guests were surprised with nicely wrapped gift boxes in brown and green ribbon, which were placed at each plate setting.

Do you love this wedding as much as I do?

What a lovely wedding! So simple, clean and warm. Elegant and refined but not a bit stuffy—just full of love. Perfection!
