YOUR DAILY WEDDING DOSE:

How to Use Poinsettias For Your Wedding
+8 January 2009+ Home > Decorations

Christmas is long gone..but have you ever wondered how to use poinsettias for your wedding? For brides that are planning their winter white wedding for 2009, consider using this small shrub which will be abundant during the months leading up to Christmas (which in other terms means..they’re easier to get hold of and will cost you much less).

Here are some that I came across that have the characteristic red color. Keep in mind that poinsettias actually come in many different shades – orange, pale green, cream, pink, white or marbled.

The real secret to using poinsettias in your arrangements is to cut the stems with the flame of a candle. This will keep them fresh. By doing this, you stop the flow of the milky sap which results in wilted leaves. Make sure you wear gloves because the sap is a skin irritant.
