I agree that the look is very classic and stunning for a wedding. I disagree with your comment that, “Red lips do not look as great on ladies with dark or olive skin tones (like myself)…” There truly is a shade of red for every skintone. A person may need to choose a red that is more burdandy or less bright but red can still be worn by ladies or vaious shades and it can be worn flawlessly.

I believe that not everyone has the personality to wear red lipstick. Red lipstick is for a woman who is 100% comfortable in her beauty, in her smile and her sensuality.

Maybe the fact that you don’t feel red lipstick looks good on you has nothing to do with your skintone at all. Maybe it’s because you don’t have the boldness and self confidence that wearing red lipstick requires.

I agree with you, the brides here look absolutely stunning and the deep red lipstick really brings the viewers attention to the Bride's face. The deep cherry red is definitely the way to go opposed to something too glitery, which could look pale or have hot spots when photographed. The cheery red also looks classy :-) PatB Photography
