Salma Hayek at Art of Elysium Benefit

10 November 2008

Salma Hayek opted for a very 1920’s look at the Art of Elysium Benefit in NYC, wearing a grecian styled gown and a black headpiece that only Salma can pull off. I decided to share this because her gown is very much like a wedding gown and fashion dictates that the 20’s is very much “in” at the moment.

Though, I think the harsh black headpiece alongside the white gown doesn’t really do her justice in my opinion. I would opt for softer make-up to complement the delicate gown. Likewise, a white or silver headpiece that does not have bands across the forehead would be a better choice so as to not take away attention from the gown. Thoughts?

I agree. Love the dress! Make up is too much for my taste and you can surely wear it as a wedding gown with some extra touches here & there.
I really enjoy reading your posts, very described writing, make me picture things easily.
