I think I just might have found a dress that is a contender. This Lela Rose gown from the Fall 2009 collection is a simple A line gown with a beautiful origami-like bow detail in the front. To create the illusion of a waist, the gown includes a detailed bead belt.

I’m not too sure how I feel about bows though because it seems like it can go both ways. Take for example the gown that was worn by Anne Hathaway to the 79th annual Academy Awards. The bow detail in the front and back was a sore point for many critics. However, the size of the bow and it’s color drew unnecessary attention to it.

Now, if only I could try this gown on to see exactly how it fits :( That’s the problem with falling in love with runway fashions because it might be a while till you can get access to it!
