Seattle designer Matt Terich & his wife, Tere Mendez, created this rock-poster invitation for a Seattle couple who wanted something a different.

Terich & Mendez make custom wedding-poster invitations and began the business in 2005 after attending a poster convention where they were asked if they were interested in making their wedding invitations.

The invitations are created to resemble event posters, providing the couples’ names and wedding date & location just like an upcoming concert. While couples can choose smaller sized posters, they can opt for a larger 19 x 25 inch size that can be displayed as a keepsake on their wall after the wedding.

Says Terich: “It’s a way to do [something] for somebody where they … get to be the rock star for that event — because they are, and that’s what a wedding is.”
